The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services (NMDVS) will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Angel Fire Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
The ceremony will honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and recognize their service and sacrifice.
The program will feature Keynote Speaker Colonel Sara Breckenridge-Sproat, U.S. Army (Retired), a 30-year Army Nurse Corps veteran and Vice President of Women Veterans of New Mexico.
Musical performance by the award-winning Cimarron High School Band.
The Angel Fire Vietnam Veterans Memorial was the first memorial in the United States dedicated to Vietnam Veterans. Built by Dr. Victor “Doc” Westphall in honor of his son, David, and all who served, the memorial continues to serve as a place of remembrance and reflection.
