The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services (NMDVS) will join the kickoff of the 2026 S.A.V.E. Run on Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in Albuquerque.
Hosted by the New Mexico VA Health Care System, the annual motorcycle ride raises awareness of Veteran suicide prevention through the S.A.V.E. program while traveling through communities across northern New Mexico to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire, which is managed by NMDVS.
Riders will stop at the memorial for a remembrance ceremony honoring World War II Veteran Robert E. Nolen Jr. before continuing to Eagle Nest.
The ride is open to motorcyclists, and community members are welcome to follow the route in their vehicles. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the ride departing from the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center.
NMDVS is proud to support this important effort to raise awareness, strengthen connections, and help ensure Veterans know they are never alone.
